Hello, my name is Hiroshi Maeda.
Let me introduce myself .
I was born and raised in Yamaguchi, Japan in 1981. My mother is a Christian that I attended church when I was a child.
After graduating from high school, I entered a university in Fukuoka.
On January 11, in his junior year of college, he accepted Christ, because of the diligent evangelism of the student of the theology department.
After graduation, I worked in the retail industry for 3 years, spending all my wealth to pass the CPA exam, but failed.
Using the skills I developed at vocational school, I succeeded in finding a job at a vocational school.
Graduated from JTJ Seminary in March 2022, and was appointed as an evangelist at JOY CHURCH (mother church) in Fukuoka City in April 2022, leading to church planting on January 1, 2023. I am determined to fulfill God’s will for his church planting, even if it means preaching to the walls.
My family consists of my wife and daughter. I struggles to raise my children while working. Taking out the trash and cleaning the bathtub are my jobs. I actively participates in nursery school events. I sincerely hopes that my daughter will not hate me when she reaches puberty in the future.

My name is Paul Kang, pastor of JOY CHURCH in Yoshizuka, Fukuoka City.
I believe that it is very significant that our evangelist, Rev. Maeda, has come to set up a new church. I would like to thank God for calling me to the work of God as I encountered Christ and deepened my faith during my college years, studied theology, completed my training as an evangelist, and decided to open a new church in this area. I am confident that it will be a church that will be fun for all generations, young, children, and old.
Preacher Maeda was popular for his interesting sermons and kindness, so we are sure that this church will have an enjoyable faith life. We also believe that this church will have an international flavor due to his wife who is fluent in many languages, including English.
